Synopsis: Solaran Emperor is not immortal, nor remembered. Upon their death, each Emperor Spirit willingly enters the Silent Continuum, a metaphysical state where their name, face, and deeds begin to fade, not by forgetfulness, but by divine design. This unraveling is called the Unchaining, a sacred effect that severs the past from the present. Over time, even their statues blur, their voice erased from recordings, their commands reduced to principles without attribution. What remains is not legacy, but momentum, an empire freed from nostalgia, bound only to the will of the now. To resist this erasure is considered a spiritual fracture; to seek memory of a past Emperor is to fracture unity and is considered a great heresy in either case. In the Solaran view, the future must not be ruled by the dead.
